Why do people like webkinz

I surely hope webkinz and ganz is glad for all these new changes, but they just lost myself and many other valuable customers. Don't fall for their tricks. Kid, 12 years old March 22, Used to be x better!

Back in about , the online game was great! I had so much fun. Now, there are SO many ads, and plus, the website wants you to buy the stuffed animal AND get an extra Deluxe Membership to play the game. That is ridiculous to be paying so much for an online game.

If your kid is a little younger than me, they would probably enjoy it more, but prepare to have your kids be bugging to get a Deluxe Membership!! Kid, 10 years old September 2, Great for All Ages!!! Webkinz is great! I would recommend it to anyone. You DO have to buy the plush first, but it is very worth it. I have over 60 rooms and over 30 pets!! It wouldn't even let me say "I would like to trade some clothes! This is not true. Then my sister received a Deluxe membership for her birthday.

This site is for ALL ages. And add me: otiosboyhi! Kid, 10 years old November 26, Just okay It is boring and now it cost money to be like enabled to have special feactures. Like it wasn't bad before. Now its worse! At least before everyone was treated equally! Kid, 12 years old April 7, I love webkinz! There is a quiz corner where you can learn about different cultures and fun facts.

You learn how to earn money and spend it wisely! I thought that this website is very appropriate for children!!! I love webkinz!! Teen, 13 years old Written by RainforestGal March 13, Welcome Webkinz I love webkinz, its cute and I love collecting the plush toys "although a little expensive" I love making a house, earning money, and getting all these neat things.

The things that i do not like is how kids act in the chat rooms-which isn't intirely the websites fault. It is just people constantly date, kiss, and even "attempt" a sexual act. Webkinz doesn't allow this- that goodness. But what they lack is showing warnings that things go too far, they do that, but not often enough. The site is very respectful to its players too, which makes me feel welcome. So what? So when WE go shopping in the real world this looks like a reasonable price to my daughter???

Or so they have no appreciation for how hard most people have to work for that kind of money??? THIS is not how the real world works. You have to WORK for your money well, for most people anyway, unless you have managed to have others work for your money or have your money work for your money!

I let her do it, because they all love it and its a time for them to chat and have fun. Now I make it a point to monitor this game with super vigilance, because quite honestly, I think this game unmonitored can be more harmful in the long run to a kid than other games that look far less innocent.

Can you imagine what this game could do to kids if left to play unmonitored???? I think it is horrible. I understand that these are just kids playing, but I do not think you are doing your kid any favors by encouraging them to play things that allow them to earn "easy money" hence giving little appreciation for how hard most people actually DO work Go "play games to earn money" umm, prelude to gambling? Oh and lets not forget, go to fashion shows where other kids online can tell them how great or how ugly their clothing choices are For me, the cons outweigh the pros.

I think there are more constructive ways that I find FAR less irritating for my kids to spend their time learning these lessons. If they need some mind numbing down time, I think there are better ways to do this too without all the potentially negative influance. Educational Value. Parent of a 2, 4, 8, and year-old Written by dermillers August 31, Perfect for all ages It is the best ever!!! Parent of a 9 and year-old Written by auburncutie4ever April 20, I make buying and playing Webkinz a reward for my kids.

It works! Adult Written by HeroneSilverton April 9, A complete and utter waste of time. This site is a complete waste of time. If your kids are going to play a game, get them a real one.

This game will eat your money away, because it forces you to buy more and more webkinz in order to keep you account. Don't let your kids get addicted, because it will happen very easily. Fun games, but incredibly annoying to deal with. Parents should take a look at what the site has to offer if their child wants to play it, because not all will appreciate some of the content that they have or the messages that they promote.

Dealing with their membership stuff has been incredibly frustrating on my end, and Ganz is one of those companies that won't accept anything other than credit cards. If you're a debit user, you can pretty much forget about any kind of membership or paid bonuses. Some of the games are super fun, and even have some skill building, but it doesn't matter if you can't access the dumb thing. Read my mind. Adult Written by Spixmacaw July 20, However, it needs tutorial from adults for younger kids, so that's why I put 8 and up.

However there is kinzchat plus and you might want to monitor your child. Parent Written by Caitlin B. May 22, Fun place to take care of a virtual pet!

Webkinz is a fun place where a child can buy a pet and take care of them in a virtual world. They have different games, a school, tournament area, etc for the child to take their pet and play together. There are a lot of advertisements from Webkinz and third party, but if you are not a free member, you can turn off third party advertisements. I suggest you do buy a little stuffed animal just so you can do this.

The advertisements were too much when we had a free account. There are three different types of an account on this website: a free account, full account buying a stuff animal , and deluxe account you buy a deluxe membership. You get to do more stuff as the higher your account goes. We just have a full account, and I do not feel like my child is missing out by not having a deluxe account.

Another great thing about Webkinz is all the educational games on the website. They are easily marked to show the parents what area of the website is more educational. The cons about the site is there is always something wrong with it.

My child gets kicked off the site a lot after playing some games. They can log back in without a problem, which is just weird to me. Overall: I am extremely pleased with this website and I suggest parents just to buy a stuffed animal for their child and give the website a try for a year.

Spokeswoman Susan McVeigh would not discuss the number of registered users or which features on the site are most popular. She did say that the site began in but really took off late last year. Many stores have been selling out of the toys. IE 11 is not supported. For an optimal experience visit our site on another browser.

When I logged on, the interface was completely different, but my dinosaur, Trike, was still there. Trike was wearing oversized red sunglasses — just like the sunglasses I bought in real life a few months ago. Then I figured out how to see my other pets and found that they all had names like SugarSea and Bubblenut.
