I have a collection of over signed first editions and it is amazing where and how an author will sign their book. Some take great care and enjoy being asked to sign their book.
Other authors sign fast and, if I may say, sloppy not appearing to care where or how they have signed their book. It is interesting to see how the the famous and not so famous treat book signings.
All authors , famous or not, should check out your hub. I have to say that Patrick McManus was one of the most gracious authors we had. He was tireless in signing books- both his new release and the bags of books collectors brought in.
I thought at the time that he was the ideal author and his attitude was so gracious. It left quite a nice impression. I really, really, really hope I have to use your advice some day.
